The casino

The casino’s historic seat is Ca’ Vendramin Calergi on the Grand Canal, the palace where Richard Wagner spent the last months of his life. A second, contemporary venue, Ca’ Noghera, operates near Marco Polo Airport.

Where to stay

Pick a hotel on the Grand Canal or in the residential Cannaregio district, both a short walk or vaporetto ride from the casino’s entrance.

Beyond the tables

See St Mark’s Basilica and the Rialto, get lost in the back lanes of Cannaregio, or spend a day on the glass-making island of Murano and colourful Burano.

Getting there

From Venice Marco Polo Airport, take a water bus or water taxi into the city. A water shuttle runs between Piazzale Roma and the casino’s canal-side entrance.

Good to know: Entry requires being 18+ with photo ID, and smart dress is expected at the tables. Opening hours, entry fees and dress codes can change, so check the casino’s official website before you travel.
