The casino

Casino Baden-Baden is housed in the town’s Kurhaus, and its salons are decorated in the style of French royal palaces. It ranks among Germany’s oldest casinos, and guided daytime tours show off the rooms to non-players.

Where to stay

Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa on the Lichtentaler Allee is the classic choice. The town centre is compact, so most hotels are an easy walk from the Kurhaus.

Beyond the tables

Alternate between the modern Caracalla Therme and the 19th-century Friedrichsbad, wander the riverside Lichtentaler Allee, or drive up into the Black Forest.

Getting there

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport is nearby, and Frankfurt Airport is roughly two hours away by train or car.

Good to know: Guests must be 18+ with photo ID. In the evening, smart dress is expected at the tables, often including a jacket for men. Opening hours, entry fees and dress codes can change, so check the casino’s official website before you travel.
